Our Occupational therapists (OTs) are highly specialized in upper extremity (U/E) rehabilitation including the fabrication of custom splints for both the Pediatric and Adult populations.
Custom fabrication of splints (static, static-progressive, dynamic, functional, etc.) are a specialty of our OTs. Whether you would benefit from a custom-made splint as a component of your U/E rehab or you prefer a light, custom made splint to replace a bulky cast; each assessment is comprehensive, individualized and based on a thorough assessment.
Our OTs travel to a location of your choice (e.g., your home or a family member home) for custom splint fabrication. This allows the client, especially a child to remain in a safe, comfortable environment for splint fabrication. We have a variety of splinting materials available to best meet the purpose of each splint.
