Danielle graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2003 with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Occupational Therapy and later completed a research focused Masters of Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University with an interest in using research to support clinical practice. During her career she has worked in a variety of practice settings including inpatient adult rehabilitation, acute medicine and surgery as well as most recently in pediatrics. In addition to working with Personal Best Therapy she also works at Winnipeg Children’s Hospital with children and adolescents with acute and chronic musculoskeletal challenges including hand injuries, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, burns, as well as chronic pain.
Danielle prioritizes working collaboratively with her clients to identify and implement strategies to support them in achieving their identified goals. In addition to her clinical work she has participated in research projects and given presentations to groups on a variety of topics. Danielle is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM).
Outside of her work Danielle enjoys spending time with family and friends. In the summer she enjoys spending time camping, and always finds time for hobbies including knitting and baking.
