After graduating in 2011 from the University of Manitoba with a Master’s of Occupational Therapy, Hon Ha began her career at Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Centre (HSC). Initially in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program with a focus on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and short-term crisis intervention. She then joined the Child Health team in Musculoskeletal Rehab and Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Shortly after in 2014, Hon Ha transitioned to working with adults in the outpatient Musculoskeletal Hands Program at HSC where she continues today specializing in the provision of upper extremity rehabilitation including assessments, customized splinting, education, range of motion exercises, and strengthening.

Hon Ha is a career learner who is passionate about helping her clients regain independence in their daily function. She continues to pursue educational opportunities while also being an innovative individual who created an online educational resource, which directly supports many rural hand therapists interprovincially. She is a team player who enjoys the challenge and responsibility of being a preceptor for Occupational Therapy students each year completing their fieldwork placements at HSC. She is a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the College Of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and working on DIY home projects.
