Pronouns: She/Her
Naomi graduated from the University of Manitoba’s Masters of Occupational Therapy Program in 2015. From an early age, Naomi had an interest in a career in health care. It led her to the Occupational Therapy profession because of her interest in gaining knowledge and skills that would help individuals continue to have a meaningful quality of life after experiencing a change in their physical and/or cognitive status.
Since graduating, Naomi has worked in inpatient and outpatient care settings. In addition to Personal Best Therapy, Naomi is currently working at The Health Sciences Centre Outpatient Adult Ambulatory Care Service providing upper extremity assessment and intervention for post-surgical or chronic musculoskeletal injuries. Interventions include wound care, range of motion exercises, splint fabrication, and strength programs. Naomi is passionate about upper extremity musculoskeletal rehabilitation and stays up to date on evidence-based interventions. In 2022 she developed an online educational resource with a colleague, and it provides support for rural therapists in Manitoba who provide treatment for adults with musculoskeletal upper extremity conditions.
Outside of work, Naomi enjoys time outdoors, working out, eating different cuisines, and traveling with her husband.
